Perlight Solar panels were recently featured in an award-winning installation completed by Aspey Energy.
The project, Corner Farm in Warwickshire, was designed by Taw Fitzwilliam Architect and included the installation of 36 Perlight Solar panels.
Corner Farm won multiple 2026 UK RIBA awards, including:
• 2026 UK RIBA West Midlands Award
• 2026 UK RIBA West Midlands Sustainability Award
• 2026 UK RIBA West Midlands Conservation Award

Sustainability with a considered finish
At Corner Farm, solar plays a clear role in supporting a more sustainable building while still respecting the look and character of the property.
For design led projects, this balance is becoming increasingly important. Solar panels need to deliver reliable energy generation, but they also need to sit comfortably within the roofline and contribute to the overall finish of the building.
This is where Perlight’s all black solar panels offer a clear advantage. Their clean, uniform appearance makes them well suited to premium residential, rural and architecturally considered projects.

Sustainability data:
Is gas used on site? No
Actual energy use (kWh/m²/y) 56.7
Renewable generation (kWh/yr) 6,000
Potable water use (l/pp/day) 291
Upfront carbon (KgCO₂eq/m²) 430
Life cycle embodied carbon (KgCO₂eq/m²) 766
Built around long-term value
Alongside their visual finish, Perlight panels are designed to support reliable energy generation and long term performance.
Across selected ranges, Perlight combines high efficiency module technology, strong low light performance and extended warranty support. This gives installers a stronger product story when customers are looking for quality as well as appearance.
In addition, Perlight’s commitment to responsible manufacturing is supported by recognised certifications, including EcoVadis, Sedex and SA8000.
For installers, this helps strengthen conversations around sustainability, product confidence and the long term value of a solar system.
A project that reflects where solar is heading
As more homeowners combine solar, storage and energy efficiency, projects like Corner Farm show how renewable technology can form part of a wider sustainability strategy.
For Perlight, the project is a strong example of how high quality solar products can support buildings where performance, responsibility and appearance all matter.
Corner Farm is a strong example of how Perlight panels can be used in projects recognised for conservation, sustainability and design quality.
